I can honestly say that I found a treasure the other day. I was looking through my wooden chest (seriously... I'm not joking here) and I found a bag that my Mom gave me not long ago. The bag contained a variety of items that belonged to my Dad... most of which I had seen many times over the years. I was going through some papers when an old magazine slid out. I picked it up, turned it over, and studied the cover in disbelief. I found my Dad's copy of the game program from the 1981 BYU vs. Utah game. As I began thumbing through the pages, a ticket stub fell out. I then realized that my Dad had saved the program and the ticket stub from the first Holy War played in my lifetime. I was about 7 months old when this game was played... and yes, BYU won 56-28 (Go Cougs!). This all happened last Sunday... which, in case you are wondering, was November 21, 2010. Why is does this matter? Look at the date on the ticket stub.

That is amazing! I love this post. What a great find, it was meant to be. Go Cougs!
Way cool Lyric! Millie
Awesome! When Gregory asks why he doesn't have ticket stubs from his first Holy War tell him it was because you were at the hospital with his mother. :)
I know, right? I am planning on finding a copy of the 2007 program and framing them together though. :)
that is awesome... perfect in every way!! I love that Dad was a saver of "memorabilia":)
Wow! awesome. I wanna see it next time we're there. :)
I just got goosebumps. WAY COOL, Scott.
(And thanks Uncle Greg for validating my own love of saving ephemera. I always tell myself I should just throw them away... but deny my children a cool treasure like that? I think not!)
Exactly, Olivia! Keep saving stuff... who knows, it could be the topic of a blog post some day!
